Not the best day for a walk last Wednesday but not the worst either. After walking from Birdwell up to Pilley I took to the fields towards Wharncliff Estate and then on to Wortley.

The 3rd of August 1968 was the day two young people got married and, after a few trials and tribulations are still married today. That was Jane and I, you can work out how many years that has been, I'm not good with big numbers. LOL. To celebrate we took a trip out to one of our favourite cities, York. It has been many years since we were last there and our day out didn't disappoint. We took a train from Barnsley to Leeds and then on to York and here are just a few of the pics I took. Sunday 9th August 2015 and Jane and I went to one of our local parks in Barnsley and spent an hour or two reminiscing whilst wondering around the Classic Car Show at Locke Park. The sad part is we are old enough not only to recognise these old cars, but, we actually owned and drove a few of them. It was a great Sunday afternoon out especially seeing the Morgan +4  a car we always dreamt of owning when we were younger. Lovely car.  70's Bently This Jaguar was probably my favourite car of the show. This is just a very small selection of the many cars there, I reckon there must have been well over two hundred, most of which I remembered from my early years.
